The Fernie Women's Centre has been running in Fernie and the Elk Valley since 1979, providing free services to women who have been impacted by violence.  Through practical and emotional support, the centre has been able to help women break down barriers, seek justice, and make steps towards equality.

The Emergency Support Fund is for women who are experiencing a financial crisis. If unable to find other means of support, this fund can be accessed in order to meet the basic needs of safety, food, shelter and medical care, and can help women move forward in their lives.
